Come to our Concert, then Rock that Vote!!

A few things:

1) Our big Halloween concert (co-hosted by the Rebs!!) is coming on up Saturday, November 1st. The show is from 8 - 9 in Pearlstone Atrium, so you'll be out of the show plenty early to go on to your Halloween related festivities. We'll be accepting donations, and selling CDs. 100% of our CD revenue goes straight to charity, just like any other donation to the group, thanks to our SGA for covering the production cost on those beauties.

2) Though I'm sure you've heard it enough times, don't forget to get out there and VOTE on November 4th!! Below is a link to the candidates stances' on AIDS related issues. We don't endorse either candidate, but encourage you all to keep AIDS issues in mind when making your final decision. Please be sure to check in with your local candidates stances on the same kinds of issues! And as always, remember that more than 1 of every 300 Americans is infected with HIV or AIDS, so it affects us all. AIDS is a global health pandemic, left unaddressed and overlooked because of stigmatization and ignorance by too many people.

So please,

Big Monay!

Yo yo --

We're back from our southern jaunt to Charlottesville, VA. We had an amazing time with the  New Dominions down at UVA, and got to sing with some other great groups as well. A special shout-out/thank you to the NewDos for hosting us at their awesome house.

We are also happy to report that we raised nearly 200 dollars in cash donations this Saturday afternoon. Instead of heading to the Downtown Mall, we ended up kicking it around the UVA campus, which was full of generous individuals (who were there for the UVA/NC game) willing to lay down some cash for the good cause. An extra special thanks to James from the NewDos for helping us raise/collect money and for passing out the informational materials that we brought along.

That's about all for now. Next, we are kicking it into high gear in preparation for our Halloween concert on November 1st in Pearlstone Atrium. We're super excited to co-host that concert with the lovely ladies of Reverend's Rebels, from our very own campus.

Great News!!

Hi everybody!

First of all, a little promo: We will be heading down to Charlottesville for the weekend, singing at the New Dominion's Accapellafest on Friday night, and serenading the Downtown Mall of Charlottesville from 1-4 PM Saturday afternoon while fundraising for the AIDS cause. If you happen to be in the area, please contact us/come out and see us.

Secondly: some Big News.
We have officially passed the $1,000 mark in donations for the year! This is the fastest fundraising stint on record, and we are looking to keep breaking records all year long. Our sincere thanks to all who have donated so far, and to those who have not, there will be plenty more opportunities to do so throughout the semester!

Now without further ado, Charlottesville, here we come!!

Ocean City!

We're traveling down to Ocean City this weekend for our second-annual fundraising trip!! We'll be singing down on the boardwalk ALL day Saturday, as well as passing out educational pamphlets with information about RHB, the AIDS cause, and our chosen charities for this year. If you happen to be down in O.C. for the weekend (or have friends that will be there), come hear us sing a free concert right near the beautiful beach! 

In other fantastic news, we were able to raise over $600 for AIDS charities in one day this past Saturday from our gigs on Parent's Weekend -- an RHB record! Let's hope that our trip to Ocean City is just as successful, and that we can keep breaking all of our fundraising records this year.

Also, right after our trip to Ocean City, we'll be singing bright and early on Monday morning at the first Explore Goucher Day of the year. If you're an ambassador or will be helping out at that event in any way, come take a break from your duties to listen to us sing a few sweet tunes.

Help us keep up the fight against AIDS! Thanks to everyone who donated this past Saturday; let's keep on truckin'!
