A Successful Semester

So the first semester of the 2004-2005 year has come to an end for Red Hot Blue. We've had some great lessons, great rehearsals, great fun, great talks and great shows. We started off the year with a performance for Family Weekend. We then headed up to Penn State for Pajamapella. That was a very Bloobie weekend, because the next day we went to Don Miller House and sang and played UNO. The next weekend, we headed over to Hopkins to sing with our friends the Vocal Chords (this was where we met our wonderful friend Jeeves). The following weekend was our ROCKIN' Fall Concert where Jeeves was our guest v.p. The show was AWESOME (especially when we threw candy and condoms at the audience!) Lesson of the show as said by Charles: "Well, if you decide to have sex with your friends, or their mothers, please remember to use protection!"

After our amazing Fall Concert, we were hard at work on putting together our first ever World AIDS Day A cappellathon!!! Thirteen groups performed and they were all AMAZING!!!! We are looking forward to having them all back next year for an even better a cappellathon! Throughout the afternoon and into the evening, we managed to raise $670!!!! Adding this amount to the money we raised at our other performances brings us to a grand total of over a $1000 raised for the AIDS cause in just ONE SEMESTER!!!! How awesome is that?!?!

I think I'm on my way to winning the longest blog ever....ok...here's some more....

Red Hot Blue Symposium - a community gathering in an educational setting with activities, speakers and stories having to do with HIV and AIDS (stay tuned for more info about when this will be happening)

Spring Concert w/ guest group The Dreamers from Penn State - April 30th (mark your calendar!)More A cappella in the Gopher Hole

Oscars Night - a private event, but for those of you who were in RHB in past years know what we are looking forward to!

AND Red Hot Blue will be in the recording studio working on a NEW ALBUM!!!!
