End of the semester is near...!
It's hard to believe, but Red Hot Blue is officially done for the semester. We wrapped up things with a film screening last night of 'A Closer Walk', an incredible film about the world AIDS crisis. We had about 30 people show up, and had FREE popcorn donated by the AMC Loews White Marsh. Thanks to SGA for sponsoring the rights to the movie.
Here are a couple links to check out from the film; these are all INCREDIBLE organizations that were featured in the film and helped sponsor its' creation:
As far as donations go, we were JUST shy of the $2,000 mark for the semester. We're looking forward to another great semester in the spring, and hoping to squeeze in a road trip, a Gopher Hole show, a big spring concert, and of course Acapellathon as well.
Hope everyone has a fantastic winter break! Please take a look at some of the links that we've provided (above) during your time off from class, and educate yourself just a bit about the global AIDS epidemic. Education is the first step towards the cure and eradication of this debilitating disease. With the help of individuals, we can join together to end a disease which has is responsible for 2,000 deaths per day around the world. We truly can have no choice but to help in this fight.
Thank you for helping Red Hot Blue in the fight against AIDS!
